Choose trusts to compare

2 trusts free — up to 4 with Pro
Want to compare 3 or 4 at once? That's a FrontlinePay Pro feature.

Select at least 2 trusts above to see them compared.

This tool compares FrontlinePay's own published trust profiles — region, organisation type and HCAS pay zone — not live job listings or insider knowledge of any trust's current culture. The AI comparison is general orientation based on public information, not a recommendation on where to work. FrontlinePay is an independent site and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the NHS or any individual trust.

Short answer

Select 2 trusts (free) or up to 4 (Pro) to compare their region, organisation type and HCAS pay zone side by side — real, stated facts only, with a link to each trust's full profile page and to the NHS Pay Calculator for an exact take-home figure. Add what matters to you — career progression, work-life balance, a specific specialty, or location — and your first AI-generated comparison narrative is free, weighing your shortlist against those priorities using only the public facts shown. This is general orientation, not insider knowledge of any trust's current culture, and it never tells you which one to pick.

What this tool compares — and what it deliberately doesn't

Every fact shown for a trust here — its nation and region, its organisation type, and its HCAS pay zone — comes straight from that trust's own FrontlinePay profile page, kept deliberately general because those are the things we can verify and keep accurate. It won't show you a CQC rating, staff numbers, or anything specific to that trust's current culture or waiting times, because inventing or guessing at those would be worse than not showing them at all.

What the AI narrative can and can't tell you

  • What a trust's stated type and region genuinely imply — e.g. a large acute trust in a major city usually means broader rotation options than a smaller or community trust
  • What an HCAS pay zone means for take-home pay, and that it reflects local cost of living rather than a straightforward bonus
  • Honest flags where a priority like 'work-life balance' or 'management culture' can't really be judged from public facts alone, plus concrete ways to actually find out
  • Never a ranking or a 'you should pick this one' — it lays out what the facts and your priorities suggest and leaves the decision to you

If you're weighing pay as well as the trust itself

Trust type doesn't change your Agenda for Change band pay, but HCAS zone does add a real percentage on top of it. Once you've shortlisted trusts here, run the exact figures — including HCAS — through the NHS Pay Calculator, or browse the full trust directory if you want to look beyond your current shortlist.

Why trust this tool

  • Every comparison fact is pulled from the same published trust profiles used across the rest of the site, current as of September 2026
  • No live job listings, staff numbers or CQC ratings — nothing shown here that we can't keep verified and accurate
  • The AI system prompt is instructed to never invent trust-specific culture facts and to say plainly when a priority can't honestly be assessed from public facts alone
  • One free AI-generated comparison per device — no account trickery, no hidden second call
  • Your selected trusts and priorities are logged only for quality review, never shared or sold

Frequently asked questions

Does this tool show live job vacancies? +

No. This compares FrontlinePay's own published trust profiles — region, organisation type, and High Cost Area Supplement (HCAS) pay zone — side by side. It doesn't list current vacancies; check a trust's own careers page or NHS Jobs for that.

Where do the facts shown for each trust come from? +

The same information published on each trust's own FrontlinePay profile page: which nation and region it's in, its organisation type (acute, mental health, community, ambulance, health board or specialist), and whether it sits in an Inner London, Outer London, Fringe or no HCAS pay zone. We don't show CQC ratings, staff numbers or anything else here that we can't keep accurate — see each trust's profile page and the CQC's own site for that.

How many trusts can I compare? +

Free: 2 trusts side by side. FrontlinePay Pro: up to 4 at once.

What does the AI comparison actually add? +

You tell it what matters to you — career progression, work-life balance, a specific specialty, or location/commute — and it writes a personalised narrative weighing your selected trusts against that, using only the public facts shown above. It's honest that this is general orientation, not insider knowledge of any specific trust's current culture, and it never tells you which trust to choose.

How many free AI comparisons do I get? +

One, per device. After that, unlimited AI trust comparisons (plus comparing up to 4 trusts at once) are included with FrontlinePay Pro.

Does trust type or HCAS zone affect my actual pay? +

Trust type doesn't change Agenda for Change band pay — a Band 6 post pays the same nationally whether it's at an acute or community trust. HCAS zone does add a real percentage on top of band pay for staff in and around London. Use the NHS Pay Calculator, linked from each comparison card, to see your exact figure.
